Shea Mulkearns
Physiotherapist

Shea Mulkearns is a senior physiotherapist and strength & conditioning coach with a strong focus on long-term rehabilitation and return-to-performance for post-operative knee, hip, and shoulder injuries. He works extensively with athletes and active individuals aiming to return to high-level sport and perform at their best.

Shea holds a Master of Physiotherapy Practice from La Trobe University and is currently completing dual postgraduate degrees in Sports & Exercise Physiotherapy and High Performance Sport. His studies directly inform his integrated clinical approach—combining manual therapy, gym-based strength rehab, and advanced running reconditioning tailored to each patient’s goals.

Shea is currently Head Physiotherapist at the Western Bulldogs VFL, and previously served as Head of Medical Services at Werribee Football Club (VFL), where he led the club to a 2024 VFL Premiership. His resume includes experience across the A-League (Men’s, Women’s, and Academy), NPL, and VAFA.

With a deep understanding of athletic performance, Shea specialises in bridging the gap between injury and sport readiness. He tailors his rehab plans to reflect the demands of high-level competition—whether returning from ACL reconstruction, managing complex shoulder rehab, or rebuilding strength and speed post-op.

Outside the clinic, Shea plays sub-district cricket, enjoys social rounds of golf, and is always on the lookout for Melbourne’s best coffee.
