Paul Bamford
Remedial Massage Therapist
Paul has been working hands-on with bodies, injuries, and stubborn muscle tension for a long time — and he’s seen just about everything walk through the clinic doors. He completed his Diploma of Remedial Massage at the Southern School of Natural Therapies in 2013, building on a Certificate in Sports Massage first earned way back in 1991 — yes, he’s been doing this longer than foam rollers have been a thing.
In 2017, Paul achieved the highest level of certification in the internationally recognised Niel Asher Technique Trigger Point Therapy (NAT Level 3), cementing his reputation as someone who genuinely knows where pain comes from — and how to switch it off. Ongoing professional development has seen him add Myofascial Dry Needling and Muscle Energy Techniques to an ever-expanding toolkit of hands-on skills.
Paul has been a key part of the team since November 2013, where he’s built a loyal client base and enjoys collaborating closely with physios and allied and primary health colleagues to get the best possible outcomes (and fewer repeat injuries).
Known for his strong, effective deep tissue work, Paul has a special interest in treating CrossFit athletes, strength trainers, marathon runners, and distance runners who like to push their limits — and occasionally pay for it. Whether it’s tight hips from heavy lifting, cranky calves from long runs, or shoulders that won’t let go, Paul focuses on reducing pain, improving movement, and restoring proper function so you can train hard without breaking down and live life to your fullest potential.
Sessions are focused, results-driven, and usually come with a healthy dose of easy banter — because great outcomes are built on trust, clear communication, and a therapist who knows when to talk… and when to dig in.
