Are you in your 40s, 50s or 60s?
If you answered yes, looking after your bone and muscle health must be a priority. We know that as we age, bone health declines and muscle mass diminishes exponentially. This often leads to a reduction in physical function and increases your risk for many other musculoskeletal conditions.
What many people don’t know though is that these changes can be reversed.
The team at Life Performance Sports Medicine has developed their own specialised ‘Bones and Brawn’ program which focuses on exercise based rehabilitation to target and focus on improving bone and muscle health specific to you and your deficits.
The program involves seeing a physiotherapist for a one on one session to tailor your program specific to you. After this initial session, you will partake in two group classes per week for a 6 or 12 week period where you will be guided through your individualised program under the supervision of your physiotherapist. After this time, you will be reassessed to ensure adequate improvements have been made and given guidance on where to go from there.
Classes are for all older adults with varying abilities and are fun and social in nature.
