Bethany is a physiotherapist with a passion for helping people achieve their highest level of physical potential. She currently works with the Western Bulldogs VFLW teams as a Rehabilitation Therapist and has previously worked within the AFL umpiring department, supporting injury prevention, rehabilitation and match-day needs.
Bethany commonly works with running-based athletes and has a particular interest in managing hip, knee, and soft tissue injuries, guiding athletes from injury through to a high-level return to sport. She takes a team-based, collaborative approach to rehabilitation and has extensive experience working within multidisciplinary medical environments.
Bethany completed her Master of Physiotherapy at Swinburne University, following a Bachelor of Science (Physiology) from the University of Melbourne and a Bachelor of Health Science (Human Anatomy) from La Trobe University. She has also completed additional training in Clinical Pilates and Strength and Conditioning, which she incorporates into her rehabilitation and injury prevention sessions.
Her sporting background includes competing at a national level in athletics and cross country, which has shaped her passion for running injuries and return-to-sport outcomes. Outside of work, Bethany enjoys spending time with family at the coast and exploring Melbourne’s restaurants and cafes.
