Bronwyn Anderson
Sports and Exercise Medicine Registrar
Dr. Bronwyn Anderson is a Sports and Exercise Medicine Registrar with a Master’s degree in Sports Medicine. With a decade of experience in orthopaedics as a surgical trainee, she has performed thousands of operations across Victoria and interstate, working alongside leading surgeons.
She has particular expertise in managing acute musculoskeletal injuries having provided expert advice to emergency departments and local GPs while also training medical students and junior doctors. This included experience with paediatric orthopaedics at the Royal Children’s Hospital and Monash Kids. This combination of surgical and non-surgical experience allows her to optimize recovery and rehabilitation for her patients.
Bronwyn is actively involved in sports medicine, working with the North Melbourne Football Club VFL team and currently supporting the AFLW team. She previously served as head doctor for Coburg VFL and has assisted numerous local football teams. She also enjoys a medical role with Special Olympics Victoria.
As a former national-level track and field athlete she won the Women’s Stawell Gift, enhancing her understanding of elite sports performance and injury management.
