John Mastwyk
Senior Physiotherapist
John is a highly skilled physiotherapist with a passion for helping people move and perform at their best. He graduated with a Bachelor of Physiotherapy in 2005 and completed his Master of Sports Physiotherapy at La Trobe University in 2015. As an APA Titled Sports and Exercise Physiotherapist, John combines expert knowledge with years of hands-on experience.
John has worked across leading private practices in Melbourne and has an impressive track record in elite sports physiotherapy. His career highlights include working with Essendon Football Club (AFL), Western United (A-League), and contributing his expertise at the 2018 Commonwealth Games. With a keen interest in managing AFL and soccer-related injuries, John has developed a deep understanding of the unique demands of these sports.
Outside of work, John is a dedicated martial artist, a pursuit that fuels his interest in movement, injury prevention, and rehabilitation. When he’s not helping patients, he’s shaping the next generation of physiotherapists as the Course Coordinator for La Trobe University’s Master of Sports and Exercise Physiotherapy program. John’s expertise, passion, and diverse interests make him an invaluable asset to our team.
