Shea Mulkearns
Physiotherapist
He/Him

Shea Mulkearns is a senior physiotherapist and strength & conditioning coach specialising in long-term rehabilitation and return-to-performance for knee, hip, shoulder, and soft tissue injuries. He works closely with athletes and active individuals chasing a genuine return to high-level sport — not just clearance to train, but performance that holds up under real competition.

Shea holds a Master of Physiotherapy Practice from La Trobe University and is currently completing dual postgraduate degrees in Sports & Exercise Physiotherapy and High Performance Sport. This ongoing study feeds directly into his clinical approach, blending hands-on manual therapy, gym-based strength rehab, and advanced running reconditioning built around each patient’s sport and goals.

He’s currently Head Physiotherapist at the Western Bulldogs VFL, where he was part of the medical team behind the 2025 Premiership, and previously Head of Medical Services at Werribee Football Club (VFL), supporting that club to a 2024 VFL Premiership. His background also spans the A-League (Men’s, Women’s, and Academy), NPL, and VAFA.

Shea specialises in closing the gap between injury and sport readiness — rebuilding rehab plans around the real demands of competition, whether that’s an ACL reconstruction, a complex shoulder repair, or restoring strength and speed after surgery.

Off the clock, he’s out playing sub-district cricket, chasing a decent social golf round, and permanently on the hunt for Melbourne’s best coffee.
